What does it mean
to tell someone you read 
the book they recommended?
it means that, in some sense,
their feelings about that book
merge with their feelings of you,
and the reason that led them
to tell you to read it,
now lives,
in some sense,
within you.
or maybe that reason was there all along,
and shared books give reason
a gate to walk through.
